For recruitment of officer in Income Tax you have to appear and qualify in examination conducted by SSC and UPSC. For appearing in both examinaton required minimum qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline. So, you are not eligible to appear in examination now and have to pursue bachelor degree to appear in examination. The syllabus, eligibility and selection criteria varies with examination. For recruitment as an officer in Income Tax department candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC. The minimum eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit to appear in examination is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit. So, you have to pursue bachelor degree to appear in examination. After qualifying in all three stages of examination candidates will become eligible for recruitment as an I.R.S Officer. For detail information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

To become Income Tax Officer, you need to clear all stages of Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination. Academic qualification for this examination is bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply for examination. The minimum age required to apply for exam is 18 years. One more examination to get higher post in Income Tax office is to join Indian Revenue Services. Recruitment to this service is done through Civil Services examination. Without pursuing bachelor's degree, you can not apply for either of these exam. |
