Re: What is the minimum percentage required for getting admission in class 10th?

CBSE schools do not provide admission in standard 10th because their is registration of the 9th standard students held in 9th standard. And no one student can appear in class 10th examination without having registration. If you have passed standard 9th with at least 60% then you will automatically promoted in standard 10th.

The academic requirement for admission in standard 10th is as below:

Student must have passed ninth standard and registered for board exam of tenth in ninth standard.

If a candidate has passed all subjects then he/she is eligible for promotion to standard tenth. There is no direct admission in standard 10th. You need to first get admission in standard 9th.

Re: What is the minimum percentage required for getting admission in class 10th?

As far as you are worried about the minimum qualification required for admission in Class 10th then there is no such requirement and any candidate clearing their Class 9th examination are eligible for promotion/admission to Class 10th.

But I would like to let you no that in case of new admission, some schools do conduct admission test or have a certain criteria which varies with school standards for offering admission in their school. And hence to get exact details regarding your desired school you must mention your school name but in general there is no special requirement for admission in Class 10th.

One thing I would also like to let you know that schools affiliated CBSE and ICSE, etc. does not offers new admission in Class 10th as registration for appearing in Class 10th board examination of these boards is done in the Class 9th .

There is no hard and fast minimum percentage criteria for class 10th.

it depends on the school and the number of vacancies they have.

You need to apply in the school you want, they will shortlist the candidates depending on the percentage and list out the top candidates fulfilling the number of vacancies.

If you appear in them, you can take the admission, otherwise not.

The minimum criteria followed for getting admission in tenth standard is that you should have passed ninth standard from any board like CBSE, ICSE, State boards.

Students who have registered for tenth board exam in ninth standard and passed in all subjects of 9th standard can easily get admission in 10th standard of their school.

According to my knowledge there is no any special requirements for admission in class 10th.
You only need to pass class 9th from regular mode to get admission. Continuity is very important as because you have to go through registration for board in class 9th and after passing only you will get promotion in class 10th.

Re: What is the minimum percentage required for getting admission in class 10th?

First thing I would like to let you know that there is no certain fixed criteria ( apart from having managed to qualify previous class ) for admission in any class suggested by board of education officially and hence admission criteria is fixed by concerned school respectively as per their standards. So for admission in any Class you need to satisfy the marks requirement in previous class or admission test held by concerned school for your admission.

Further I would like to let you know that in most of the board of education cases admission in Class 10th is not possible as the registration for Class 10th board examination is done in the year in which student is pursuing Class 9th so it is not possible to take admission or change in school during Class 10th.

Re: What is the minimum percentage required for getting admission in class 10th?

No, it is not possible to get admission in 10th std in school affiliated with another board.

So, you have to pursue your 10th std in the same school from where you have passed 9th std.

Candidates are eligible to change the school affiliated with same board but only if the school from where you have passed 9th std will offer you transfer certificate.

The required criteria to get admission varies with school. So, visit the school in which you want to get admission for more details.
