Eligibility Criteria

The students who want to study this course must be a graduate. There is no restriction regarding the stream of graduation. The students can be either from science or arts or commerce or management stream.


The students must score a minimum of 60% in their graduation.

Finally, the students will be further shortlisted via an entrance examination. If the students pass in this examination, they will be selected for this course.

For physically handicapped candidates there is relaxation of 5% in aggregate to appear in B.Ed entrance examination.

B.Ed is two year course and deals with study of method of teaching. The required eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 50%.

But for reserved category it is only 45%.

Candidates have to qualify in entrance examination conducted by universities and colleges for admission in course.

The percentage of marks required in bachelor's degree for candidates of different category are as follows:

1. Open category candidates: 50% in graduation.

2. Reserved category candidates like SC/ST: 45% in graduation.

3. Physically Handicapped category: 40%.

B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education. This is a teacher training course. The minimum academic qualification required for pursuing this course is bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

In terms of percentage of marks, the eligibility criteria is 40% for candidates who are from physically challenged or disabled category.

The full form of B.Ed is Bachelor of Education.

The eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Education is:

1. Bachelor's degree in any stream is prerequisite to apply for B.Ed entrance examination.

2. The percentage of marks required for B.Ed course is 50% for general candidates. It is 40% for candidates who belong to physically handicapped category.

Yes, there is relaxation in aggregate of bachelor degree for Physically Handicapped candidates to get admission in B.Ed course.

B.Ed is Bachelor degree in Education and is two year course ( four semester ). The required minimum qualification to pursue the course is :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

Candidate must have scored minimum 50%.

There is relaxation in aggregate of 5% for PH, SC and ST candidates.

The entrance examination is conducted by most of the institutes to get admission in course.
