Re: How much marks should I score in 12th and what should I study next? Flawless answer to your marks question is as much as you can notch up in your senior secondary board exams. Good marks obviously fetch you a good college in Physics (Hons) but seeing your coveted aim to be a scientist is a different journey. First, you have to perform a level up in graduation by working on good projects and research. Second, collaborate with the already working scientists to make yourself aware about the real work. |

Re: How much marks should I score in 12th and what should I study next? If you want to become a scientist then you have to complete your graduation in that stream where physics is the main subject and after that you have to complete your masters course in the same stream. You can pursue as much as higher education you want to. After that you can appear in the exams of various Atomic Research centres as well as scientist research centres. The difficulty level is quite high for these entrance exam so you have to prepare yourself. |

Re: How much marks should I score in 12th and what should I study next? As you have mentioned in the thread that you want to become a scientist in electronic physics then you have to score at least 75% in 12th standard. After that you have to clear JEE Main and Advance Examination to join IITs. You have to select stream of your interest in B.Tech. After completing 4 years of engineering, you can apply for the job of Scientist in any research institute like ISRO. |
