Re: Candidate of 14 years old can appear in CBSE class 10th exam? There is notification released by the CBSE regarding the age limit to appear for 10th board examination. The age limit is decided by the directorate of state government for the candidates of the respective state. So, you have to visit the concerned office for details. Yes, at the time of appearing for 10th you will be about 15 years, so you will most probably eligible to appear for examination. |

As,according to the KV which is under CBSE, the minimum age limit to get admission in STD 1 to 5 years as on 31st March of year in which admission is sought for. So, required minimum and maximum age limit to appear for 10th examination is 14-16 years. |

As per the CBSE new circular, to be eligible for appearing in the 10th board examination the age of student must be over 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which student get admitted in the class 10th. So, being 7 years old at present and studying in class 2nd there is no issue about your son's eligibility for appearing in the CBSE 10th board examination as his age is enough to satisfy the age criteria for the same. Re: Candidate of 14 years old can appear in CBSE class 10th exam? Yes, he is eligible to appear for 10th board examination at the age 14-15 years. The only required criteria is candidate must have passed 9th from the CBSE and age limit to appear for examination is between 14-16 years as on 31st March. So, you can appear for the examination and there is no problem in future regarding it. |

As far as you are concerned about the minimum age required for appearing in CBSE Class 10th board examination then it is 14 years by the 1st October of that year in which the candidate is admitted in his/her Class 10th academics. Now, as your son is going to appear in his Class 2nd examination in 2018 which means he is likely to appear in board examination in 2026 while he will get into his Class 10th in 2025. Further, as per the age criteria mentioned above your son is eligible for appearing in CBSE Class 10th board examination without any issue based on his age as his will be over 14 years by the 1st October 2025. Then at the age of 14 he will be eligible to appear in 10th board examination. The age is not fixed to appear 10th board examination. One can appear 10th board from 14 to 16 years. |

Re: Candidate of 14 years old can appear in CBSE class 10th exam? The minimum age required for the candidate to apply for CBSE 10th standard board examinations is 15 years. In case, if the candidate has less age then, he has to submit the Medical certificate obtained from the recognised doctor. As per the information you have mentioned in your query, your son was born on 13th May 2011, so, he will be 15 years old while completing his 10th standard, so, he is eligible to apply for CBSE 10th standard board examinations after pursuing his 10th standard. |
