Re: Can a girl candidate of 17 years apply for CDS and OTA exams? 12th passed candidates are not eligible for CDS exam. The minimum age limit is 19 years. You should have done bachelor's degree to become eligible for the exam. Bachelor's degree is minimum requirement. |

You can not apply for CDS exam at age of 17 years. The eligibility criteria for CDS exam is bachelor's degree and minimum age required is 19 years. |

Candidates in final year of degree are also eligible. The age limit to appear for OTA is 19-25 years. There is no limitation on discipline of bachelor degree. So, you are not eligible to appear for examination with current qualification. |

This defence services exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice every year by Union Public Service Commission every year. Academic qualification required for exam is bachelor's degree. The minimum age is 19 years. Female candidates are eligible for exam. You are not eligible for CDS examination. |

Being a student of Class 12th and 17 years old girl candidate you are not eligible for appearing Combined Defense Services examination for joining its Officer's Training Academy wing as for the same you are required to have completed your bachelor degree from a recognized university with your age lying within 19 years to 25 years. Re: Can a girl candidate of 17 years apply for CDS and OTA exams? You are not eligible to appear for CDS II 2018 examination. The examination is conducted twice every year by UPSC. It is conducted for recruitment in Air Force, Army, Navy and OTA. Girls candidates are only eligible for OTA. The minimum age limit is 19 years while candidates passed or pursuing in final year of degree are only eligible. So, you can start preparation for examination, if you want to join the service after graduation. |

Being a girl candidate and a student of Class 12th you are not eligible for appearing in CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) examination to join its OTA ( Officer's Training Academy ) wing as for the same one is required to have completed his/her bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university with his/her age lying in between 19 years to 25 years. CDS stands for Combined Defense Service and examination is conducted twice every year. The examination is conducted for requirement in defense services. The required qualification to appear for examination is Bachelor Degree in any discipline with minimum age limit 19-25 years. So, you can appear for examination after Bachelor Degree. The examination is conducted twice every year. |

To appear for examination the required minimum qualification is bachelor degree. The lower age limit is 19 years while the maximum age limit is 25 years for OTA. Girls are only eligible for recruitment in OTA. The examination is conducted in two stages as written and SSB. The eligibility criteria for CDS examination is; *Bachelor's degree in science or engineering for AFA, INA and bachelor's degree in any stream for OTA and IMA. The minimum age limit is 19 years to apply for CDS exam. You can not apply for exam at age of 17 years and minimum qualification of 12th. |

As far as you are concerned about the eligibility for appearing in CDS entrance examination for joining OTA ( Officer's Training Academy ) which is one of the four wings of CDS then it is as mentioned below:- * You must hold the nationality of India. * Your age must lie within 19 years to 25 years. * You must have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Students pursuing the final year of their degree course are also eligible. * You must satisfy the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. So being a Class 12th student and 17 years old girl candidate you are not eligible for appearing in CDS entrance examination as for the same the minimum age required is 19 years and the minimum educational requirement is a graduation degree from a recognized university. For joining in Indian Armed Forces, you have to appear in NDA examination instead of CDS examination after completion of your 12th standard. Only unmarried male candidates who are in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years are eligible to apply for NDA examination. So, being a girl candidate, you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination. |
