Re: J.N.U question papers for M.A in english for free? Hi friend check it out the question paper her Time 3 Hours Maximum 100 Marks Answer question ONE and FOUR others, choosing TWO from. Section A and TWO from Section B. All questions carry equal marks. I. Annotate any FIVE of, the following passages choosing atleast TWO from each group. GROUP - A (5x4 = 20) (a) Full worthy was he in his lordes werre And there to hadde he riden no man ferre As wel in cristendom as hethenesse, And evere honourned for his worthinesse. (b) And let faire Venus that is queer, of love, With her heart - quelling Sonne upon you smile, Whose smile they say, hath vertue to remove All loves dislike, and friendships faultie guide For ever to assoile. Attempt an appreciation of Herbert as a religious poet. 7. Why is Spenser called a poet's poet? 8. Examine the lyricism in the prescribed poems of Wyatt. SECTION - B (2 x 20 = 40) 9. Critically examine what Sidney says about poetry, history and philosophy. 10. Discuss Bacon as a practical philosopher, 11. Account for the lasting appeal of Thomas More's "Utopia". 12. Justify the title "Everyman in His Humour". 13. What are the two plots in Middleton's "Changeling" ?, Write a note on their coherence. 14.
