Re: Syllabus of BARC exam? BARC syllabus isn't provided in the site. But the site does say that it will be based on the engineering discipline the graduate has selected and it will test the knowledge and problem solving ability. There won't be any General English, General Knowledge, Aptitude based questions. |

(b) For Physics Discipline :- MSc in Physics/ Applied Physics/ Electronics or BE/ BTech in Engineering Physics with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks. MSc applicants should have Physics and Mathematics up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc, with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have valid GATE Score in Physics. For applicants having BE (Engineering Physics) or MSc (Electronics) as qualifying degree, valid GATE Score in Engineering Science is also acceptable. (c) For Chemistry Discipline :- MSc in Chemistry with Physics up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc and Mathematics up to Std. XII, with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have valid GATE Score in Chemistry. (d) For Biosciences Discipline:- MSc in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology,Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Food Technology, Animal Science, Life Sciences and Biosciences or BE/BTech/BSc (Tech) only in Food Technology with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks. MSc applicants should have Physics or Chemistry or Biochemistry or Agriculture Chemistry up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. (e) For Radiological Safety Engineering MSc in Physics or Chemistry with Physics and Chemistry up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of integrated MSc, and Mathematics up to Std. XII, with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. Those having MSc in Environmental Science are not eligible. (f) For Geology Discipline MSc in Geology/ Applied Geology with Mathematics upto BSc. or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc , with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. Applicants opting to be considered on the basis of GATE Score should have valid GATE Score in Geology / Geophysics. (g) For Geophysics Discipline MSc in Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics with Mathematics up to BSc or at subsidiary and/or ancillary level in case of five year integrated MSc , with minimum of 60%* aggregate marks in MSc as well as in BSc. BARC stands for bhabha atomic research center , it is conducted for entry for b.tech/b.e students for bhabha atomic institute , eligibility and syllabus of barc are as follows : eligibility : must be b.tech from a recognized university must have score minimum 60% in engineering AGE LIMIT : upper age limit for barc exam is 26 years 3 year relaxation for obc students 5 year relaxation for sc/st students SYLLABUS of the BARC : questions are asked from the branch of engineering from which the student belongs question paper is a objective type subjects consists of : general English general awareness maths duration is 1.5 hours hope this helps you good luck |

Re: Syllabus of BARC exam? Dear user Below i have listed the eligibility criteria and syllabus of BARC: Eligibility Candidates with B E/ B Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks . Age limit a) General Category - 26 years, b) OBC-29 years, c) SC/ST–31 years, Physically Challenged persons of all categories are eligible for age relaxation of 10 years. Syllabus The syllabus for the Online Exam is specific to the Engineering discipline which a candidate has selected. The questions are intended to assess the basic understanding of subjects in the area of the engineering discipline selected by the candidate. Emphasis would be on the knowledge and problem solving ability rather than on the memory of the candidate. General English, General Knowledge, Aptitude etc are not assessed. Good luck |
