There is no such thing that you have heard. The only problem is cut-off problem. Difference between cut-off of general candidates and reserved category candidates is too much. General candidates are not able to score high cut-off that’s the reason behind their failure. You have to practice more and more to get success.

Look, in the government sector jobs, few of the seats are reserved for OBC or SC/ST candidates. So, they will get jobs very easily at low cut-off marks. But for general category students, the cut-off marks is higher than Creamy-layered students, so general category students fight for the remaining seats. That’s why getting jobs in Government Sector is difficult for General category students.

Yeah! It's a right thing now a days which is in everyone's mouth, it is " why it's difficult to get government jobs for general category students?". The answer of this question is that yes! It is true that this is tough for general category students to get government jobs. There are few reasons behind it.

First Reason:
A large number of vacancies of government jobs are reserved for SC/ ST category students. Though, the number of applicants from SC and ST category students are low whereas the number of applicants from general category are no doubt high. So, its a tough competition for general category students.

Second Reason:
The number of attempts is low for general category students whereas SC/ST category students get 2 year or 3 year extension. In example, every general category student can apply for only 6 times in UPSC exam whereas SC/ST category students enjoy unlimited attempts till his/her 37th year of old.

*** Though this system exists, candidates of every categories shouldn't lose hopes because to survive in the earth, competition is the only way. Work hard to get the achievements.
