Minimum of 60% marks is required. Distance B.Tech is invalid course as per AICTE. You must apply for LEET exam for admission directly in second year of engineering. |

Re: Eligibility to study distance BTech for 3 years ECE Diploma holder? Most of diploma candidates are interested in distance B.Tech but they donot know that distance diploma are invalid course. You can pursue this course after diploma. But, a diploma candidate must go for regular B.Tech course. Admission in regular B.Tech course is through Lateral Entry Entrance Test. |

Re: Eligibility to study distance BTech for 3 years ECE Diploma holder? You are eligible to study distance Bachelor of Technology after three years of Electronics and Communication diploma. But to make you aware, you must know that AICTE has clearly notified that distance B.Tech is not valid course. Diploma candidates must apply for Lateral Entry Entrance Test to get admission directly in second year of engineering. You must have minimum of 60% marks in diploma to apply for LEET exam. Diploma candidates can also apply for JEE Advanced exam for admission in three year diploma course. |

Re: Eligibility to study distance BTech for 3 years ECE Diploma holder? Yes you can pursue B.Tech from distance mode. There is no any restriction regarding mode of education you will opt. If you have completed Diploma then, you will get admission through lateral entry and directly in 2nd year of Engineering. No any special eligibility criteria required. |

You must not pursue this course if any institute offers this course. Instead of that, you should apply for Lateral Entry Entrance Test. Eligibility criteria: Academic qualification: Diploma from a recognized institute. Minimum percentage of marks required is 60%. You can get direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech. |
