IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and KAS stands for Karnataka Administrative Service. The eligibility criteria for both the exams are candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Educational Qualification :- You should have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university. 2. Age Limit :- 21 to 32 years. Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ ST candidates is applicable as per government rules. 3. Nationality :- You should be a citizen of India. |

B.Tech is Bachelor in Technology and candidates passed bachelor degree from a recognised university are eligible to appear in Civil Service Examination and for KAS examination. The examination is conducted by UPSC and KAS. So, you have to appear and qualify in all three stages for final selection. The full form of Indian Administrative Services and KAS means Karnataka Administrative Services. The qualification required for both examination is bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. It does matter in how many years, you have completed your degree, you are eligible for both exams if you are graduate. |

In order to appear in Civil Services Exam, candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised University and there is no percentage required to appear in this exam. The minimum age required to appear in this exam is 21 years and maximum should not exceed 32 years for a general category candidate, 35 years for OBC candidate and 37 for SC and ST category students. |

The basic education required for appearing in the Civil Services examination ( generally known as IAS examination) and KAS ( Karnataka Administrative Service) examination is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. So, having completed your B.Tech degree course you are eligible to apply for Civil Services examination and KAS examination as the backlogs and duration taken to complete the degree is not considered to decide the eligibility of a candidate for these examinations. Eligibility Criteria: >> Candidates should be citizens of India. >> Candidates age must be between 21 and 32 years . >> Candidates should complete graduation in any discipline except MBBS. >> Final year students of graduation are also eligible to apply . *** You are eligible to apply for the concerned exams if your age is not more than 32 years. It doesn't depend on the years you took to complete B.Tech. |
