Aeronautical Engineering is the branch of aerospace engineering that deals with design, construction and operation of airplanes and space vehicles. This course is offered in three levels that is diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate. Admission in the course is based on the scores in qualifying exams and entrance test conducted by different universities of State.Below is given the brief description about the colleges which offers these courses and admission procedure- Aeronautical engineering of Karnataka- Aeronautical engineering is offered by polytechnics and leading engineering colleges in Karnataka. some of the reputed colleges are mentioned below- >Institute of Aeronautical and Marine engineering, Bangalore. >Jain University, Bangalore. >Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal. >M.V.J College of Engineering , Bangalore. >VSM Aerospace Bangalore. Admission Process- Candidates who have completed their matriculation and higher secondary with aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths seprately are eligible for admission.Admission to Aeronautical Engineering is made by the entrance test conducted by State Universities. Apart from this a candidate who have cleared National Level exam like-AIEEE, IIT JEE also eligble to apply for this course. |

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with above 50% marks with PCM are eligible for Aeronautical Engineering. Your age should be above 17 years. But you must qualify in JEE Main or state level engineering entrance exam. |

Re: How to take admission in Aeronautical Engineering after 12th from NIOS? # Aeronautical Engineering is most challenging field with a wide scope for growth and is most suitable career option for those who have their immense interest in airplanes, aircraft, space shuttles etc. # In order to pursue degree in aeronautical engineering, one should have sound knowledge over science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. # The eligibility conditions required for diploma or bachelor degree in aeronautical engineering are: * 10+2 in any PCM stream from any recognised board. * Must have obtained minimum 60% marks. * Candidate has to crack the JEE (Mains) in order to enrol himself/herself for aeronautical engineering. # Names of few boos recommended in this regard are: * Aerodynamics, Aeronautics & Flight Mechanics by McCornick * Elements of Gas Dynamics by Liepmann, H.W., and Roshko * Aerodynamics for Engineers by Bertin * Dynamics of Flight by Etkin, B. and Reid * Jet Propulsion by Cumpsty * Aircraft Structures for Engineering Students by Megson * Global Airline Industry by Belobaba, P., Odoni, A and Barnhart * Gas Turbine Engineering Handbook by Boyce # There are huge job opportunities available both in public sector as well as private sector.
