keep calm and think up on it.. read news paper...watch good news channel instead watching waste stuff in television.. give priority to these channels.. ->BBC ->CNN IBN ->Discovery ->National Geographic Channel ->Turbo. and many more useful channels in your regional language too.. as i don't know your language i'm not writing anything in this regard if you love to read then buy some useful stuff in the book stalls which will increase GK IQ and etc.., if you have the facility to surf in the internet go through some useful sites and also be regularly updated with our website..and forum then definitely increase your GK these are all what i do ..so i can assure you the results regards ~aditya~ |

I.A.S exam is conducted mainly basing on all factors , so you should have the overall subject knowledge as well as general knowledge... For appearing I.A.S you better option physics chemistry maths ... because doing this you will have the calculation stuff and it makes your brain to function some extent .... so better opt for PHYSICS CHEMISTRY AND MATHS |

Re: Stream to choose in 11th for IAS exam? How to prepare? You an chose any stream. The requirement mentioned is Graduation. There is no mention of the specific stream. So choose based on what suits you the most. You can start preparing the general awareness section right away. The other sections prepare when you are in the third year. |

How to prepare? there is no matter for choosing stream in 11th for becoming IAS ....just u need to qualify 12th standard with good marks with any stream......i think if you choose arts then it is best to prepare for IAS exam......open upsc site and see previous years question paper.. |
