Am a bsc nursing final yr student. My course will be complete on june 2019. Is am eligible to wrote the indian forest service exam this year. ?

B.Sc in Nursing students are not eligible Indian Forest Service exam.

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering are eligible for Indian Forest Service exam.

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

IFS (Indian Forest Service) is conducted by UPSC. If you have satisfied the following eligibility criteria, then your are eligible to appear IFS.

IFS Eligibility
- You must be citizen of India.
- You must have passed bachelor's degree with at least one out of the subjects Forestry Engineering/Agriculture Engineering/Forestry/Botany/Zoology/Geology/Chemistry/Maths/Physics
- Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. Relaxation applicable 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST.
- Maximum attempts are allowed 6 for General, 9 for OBC and No restriction for SC/ST.

Selection
- Preliminary Exam (CSAT)
- Main Exam
- Interview

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Exam (400 Marks)
- It consist total two papers of 200 marks each.
- Time duration of each paper is 2 hours.

Main Exam
- Paper I & II will be qualifying papers. (each of 300 Marks)
- Paper III : Essay (250 Marks)
- Paper IV : General Studies I (250 Marks)
- Paper V : General Studies II (250 Marks)
- Paper VI : General Studies III (250 Marks)
- Paper VII : General Studies IV (250 Marks)
- Paper VIII : Optional Paper I (250 Marks)
- Paper IX : Optional Paper II (250 Marks)

Interview : 275 Marks

IFS Important Dates
- Registration Opens From : 22/02/2017
- Registration Closed : 17/03/2017
- IFS Preliminary Exam : 18/06/2017
- IFS Main Exam : 03/12/2017

Hello Sir, I have done B.Sc Nursing and now I want to join the Indian Forest Service so I want to know am I eligible to appear for Indian Forest Service entrance exam? Which extra subjects will I have to study? Please answer as soon as possible.
