Yes, the Aligarh Muslim University conducts an entrance examination for offering admission to B.A (English) Honours course. An admission test is conducted by AMU for offering admissions to B.A (English) Honours course. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a government recognised board are eligible to apply for admission to B.A (English) Honours course in Aligarh Muslim University. |

So that, many students from almost all states apply to this university for admission. So, to give admissions to deserved students, they take entrance examination.
