Re: Is B.Ed compulsory to apply for TET?

TET is Teacher Eligibility Test. It is conducted by Central or State government for the recruitment as teacher in government schools.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. Candidate must have B.Ed or D.Ed qualification.

So, if you have D.Ed qualification then you are eligible to appear in the examination.

The age criteria varies with state.

Re: Is B.Ed compulsory to apply for TET?

TET refers to Teacher Eligibility Test and to apply for thr same examination one is required to have pursued teacher training degree course such as as D.Ed./D.El.Ed./B.Ed. degree or equivalent along with their regular academic degree courses.

So, being a B.A. degree holder, to be eligible for appearing in any TET, you need to opt for a teacher training degree course first not necessarily a B.Ed. degree course.

Is B.Ed compulsory to apply for TET?

I have completed my BA. Now, can I apply and write the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)? I have not done B.Ed also. So, am I eligible? Or, I will have to complete B.Ed first then apply?
