Re: What is the scope for B.E civil engineer in IES? Civil Engineers have good scope in Indian Engineering Service. Civil Engineers are required to build bridges, dams etc. Therefore IES exam is also conducted to recruit Civil Engineers for various government departments. Civil Engineers are required for various infrastructure projects. These projects are related to railways, defence etc. Therefore due to the requirement of Civil Engineers in various government departments, they are recruited through the IES entrance exam. Some of the departments are: Indian Railway Service of Engineers. Central Engineering Service. Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Civil Engineering Posts). Indian Ordance Factories Services Therefore I will highly recommend appearing for the Indian Engineering Service for you. In order to appear for it, you must meet the following criteria. Eligibility 1. Only Indian nationals can apply for IES. 2. You must complete the BE Civil Engineering from a recognized university. 3. There is no percentage criteria for IES. 4. Age limit for the exam is 21 to 30 years. 5. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. SC/ST are given 5 years relaxation. |
