MBA is a well known post graduation course that is of 2 years duration. It is good that you are already enrolled into one and so you should already be knowing the practices about how to get into a good MBA College. Speaking of the MBA streams and major specializations, we have the following known ones:

Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, Information Systems and International Business.

Of course you have more such streams available at various other colleges but these are the major ones that are in heavy demand in the market.

Since you are already doing MBA in Finance, you would be well knowing about what you are taught, what is the course curriculum of your college and what is the future scope going to be like. On the other hand, it is good that your college offers dual specialization - which in turn means more knowledge about another area of work.

Coming to the part where you are concerned with the compatibility of Finance with International Business, I would say all the fields in MBA are different and surely have different needs in the market. However, International Business would also have Financial modules as it would deal with subjects like International Finance, World Market, Global Economy and more. Thus, you would definitely be able to relate. It is a good option and you must be well off if you select this as your secondary specialization.

The advantage that you would get while doing a dual specialization is you would have more scope of getting jobs either in India or abroad. It is also possible that due to the vast area of knowledge that you would hold, many companies can hire you as professional consultants as well. Thus, career ahead would have immense opportunities.

Some of the best career options available in Finance are: Investment Banking, Finance Manager, Financial Analyst, Research Analyst, Financial Consultant, Wealth Manager etc. These are critical positions at which major banks around the globe recruit best minds.
