They Procedure for the entrance exam is: The application process for the IAM admissions starts from 2 April 2013. Re: Which entrance exam should I go for to join IAM? Hello friend, IAM - Institutes of Apparel Management IAM offers two type of programs- 1)International Pathway 2)Indian Pathway. The International Pathway programs are meant for students who intend to continue higher education abroad. It provides students with a Higher National Diploma (HND) which allows students into the 3rd or 4th year of a University program abroad (mainly UK). The International Pathway has the following HND programs at under-graduate level- Fashion & Lifestyle Design (4 years) Apparel & Textile Merchandising (3 years) The Indian Pathway has the following 3 year degree programs at under-graduate level: B.A. in Apparel Design & Merchandising B.A. in Fashion Communication Eligibility – 10+2 from recognized Board or Equivalent Candidates have to pass IAM’s online written examination to apply for different fashion programs at IAM colleges. IAM Entrance Exam Pattern: IAM entrance exam is split into 2 phases: Phase 1: Written Exam (February) consisting of 2 papers of 100 marks each GAT (General Ability Test): 150 Objective questions – 2 hours CAT (Creative Ability Test): 3-4 Questions – 3 hours The GAT tests each student’s ability in Quantitative Math, Analytical Reasoning, English Communication, English Comprehension and General Knowledge The CAT tests each student’s ability in Design Problem Solving, Visual Sense, Observation & Perception, Environmental Awareness, Mental Ability and Communication skills through a range of visual and textual questions. Phase 2: It consists of 2 hour Situation Test in which students are given certain materials and asked to create a 3D model or handicraft.
