Re: Can I join Indian Army after completing 12th from Arts stream? Yes, you can join Indian Army after completion of your 12th standard with Arts stream. To be eligible to join Indian Army, you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a government recognised board and unmarried male candidates who are in the age range of 16.5 to 19.5 years are eligible to apply for NDA examination for joining in Indian Army. |

Educational qualification:- Candidates must have passed matriculation or any equivalent with mathematics, science and English as major subjects. Nationality:- The candidate must be a citizen of India Marital status:- Unmarried male candidates alone are eligible Age:- Candidates age must be between 16 years and 21 years . Physical standard:- Minimum height should be at least 1 67cms Chest measurement should not be less than 77 cm on expansion Minimum weight should be at least 50 kg Candidates Should be free from any communicable infections and should not have any medical or surgery deformities. |

The minimum qualification needed to join in Indian Army is 12th standard from a recognised board. If you want to join in army you need to appear for the NDA exam. This exam is conducted by the UPSC 2 times in a year i.e. is NDA 1, NDA 11 NDA have three wings those are: Army, Navy, Air Force Eligibility:- Candidate should complete 12th standard from a recognised board. Re: Can I join Indian Army after completing 12th from Arts stream? You can join as soilder in Indian Army after passing the physical test conducted at various location by Indian Army. The required physical criteria is mentioned in the notification released in local newspaper. For recruitment as an officer, you have to appear and qualify in NDA examination.
