The required qualification to appear for Air Force Common Admission Test examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit and required stream in bachelor degree varies with different post of recruitment. The examination will be conducted in two stages. Candidates after qualifying in both stages - Written and SSB will become eligible for recruitment as an officer in Indian Air Force. Examination is conducted twice in a year. Bachelor's degree in Economics graduate can apply for AFCAT exam for Ground Duty branch. The age limit is 20-26 years. There are two stages Written exam and AF SSB. |

Re: MA Economics candidates can apply for AFCAT or not? AFCAT refers to Air force Common Admission Test and it is held twice every year by IAF ( Indian Air force). Being a BA in Economics degree holder, as per your education qualification, you are eligible for appearing in AFCAT for joining its ground duty branch and too if you have studied Mathematics and Physics at your Class 12th level. Higher degree qualification is not considered in case of deciding the eligibility of a candidate for the same examination.
