Re: Can I become a Loco Pilot in Indian Railways on the basis of 10th only? On the basis of 10th standard only, you can't apply for Loco Pilot post in Indian Railways. After 10th, you can do ITI course (in Fitter/Electrician, etc.) or Diploma course (in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile, etc.) to be eligible for Loco Pilot post. Other than this, you can also complete your 10+2 standard and apply for Loco Pilot post. You will have to apply for Locopilot posts through RRB exam that Railways regularly conducts for filling vacancies. Age for Locopilot job is between 18 to 30 years. |

Re: Can I become a Loco Pilot in Indian Railways on the basis of 10th only? You are not eligible to appear in the Loco Pilot recruitment examination conducted by RRB. The required minimum eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed diploma course from a recognised institutions. The minimum age limit is 18 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit for appearing in the examination for reserved category. So, you are not eligible to appear in the examination. Examination is conducted in various stages for final selection. For more information visit at www.rrb.gov.in. |

To become a loco pilot, candidates must have ITI or diploma in Mechanical/electrical/automobile/electronics engineering from any institution approved by AICTE. So after 10th you can opt for any of the desired course in the above streams. |

Can I become a Loco Pilot in Indian Railways on the basis of 10th only? Hi, I want to become a Loco Pilot in Indian Railways but I don't know what I have to do further after completion of 10th Board exams with 75%. Could anybody please guide me and tell me what should I study now or can I apply for Loco Pilot post on the basis of 10th only? |
