Re: PhD from private university is valid for job? Want to do PhD? Wondering if PhD offered by a private university is valid for teaching position? On this page experts will respond to your queries. I got an offer from sri sathya sai university and medical sciences sehore madya pradesh for PhD. When I searched on UGC site, it mentioned that sri sathya sai university and medical sciences sehore madya pradesh is a private university, inspection was done by UGC but the columns mentions:approval letter should not be granted at this time it may be granted after few acadamic sessions can i proceed with this university. Please tell me. Is PhD degree from private universities valid or not.. |

Re: PhD from private university is valid for job? The degree certificates will be valid if the institute is affiliated to UGC. UGC stands for University Grant Commission. It is established for determination and maintenance of standard of university education in India. If the university from which you are going for PhD is affiliated to UGC then the degree issued by the university will be valid. So, you must collect all information regarding the university before admission that whether the university is affiliated/recognized by UGC or not. If possible, try to take admission in central universities which will be much better than any private university. |
