Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

You have the following options (There may be more available than this list)

1. Database Administration.

2. Network Administration.

3. Testing (Not preferred if you are not good in coding, still can try)

4. Govt Services / Bank.. etc

5. Teaching (Would be much better if you do a M.Phil and PhD after MCA).

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

Yes you are right that MCA is full of the programming language.

so you should be prepared for it.

some languages like c, c++, you can read.

these will be base of the course that you will face in the master degree.

MCA is a master degree in which you will be master in your field.

java is a global language in which you can make your future. i will give you suggestion for java.

best of luck.

Yes,If you choose MCA for your higher studies than its essential to have knowledge about programming language. You can faced several languages in bca.So its good for you to have good knowledge about programming languages.Mca is a computer related field and have so much scope. If you dont have knowledge about programming language than its not a big problem. You can do a course from an institute. It willl give you confidence. So do work hard and do regular practice with programming.

All the best

hi friend,
Now a days BCA is enough for to get a software job don't go for MCA i.e time waste .do MSC(IT) or MSC(IS) or mba it will completed just two years .You save one year.time is very precious .why i gave this is suggestion almost MCA syllabus u learnt in bca why again u go for MCA. in other way u improve ur communication skills and u improve technical knowledge and try software job by using BCA.

Best wishes...

Hi,
Its entirely your decision to make. As you are week in programming languages and you want to go for the MCA then definitely it will become tough for you. In that case it is better for you to choose the MBA course.

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

I think go for MBA,if you have not interest in programming because if you do MCA their is a lot of programming in the course and you need to go on JAVA,SQL languages. so if you not good in programming then go for MBA.

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

FrIeNdS there is nothing confusion in this, just get a decision from your parent and seniors. You just think alone which one will be better for your future and pursue for it. Our duty is to study whatever it may be mba or mca, put your full effort. My choice is MCA Because my UG is B.sc Computer Science, i dont know any programming but in the period of three years we can learn it. God is their for us and sure we will have the bright future...! I dont know , what you find interesting in BCA if you dont like programming which is very interesting work.

Yeah you have to be good in programming but don't worry if your not good in it, you can surely learn during your learning process.

So answer MCA entrance test and try to clear it and then you can join some course to strengthen your programming skills

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

dear friend

if you are do mca, then its true you become a good programmer after completing
this course. and if you are to be a good programmer, then you can do these courses
also like- C++ programming, java programming.

or if you are not interested in mca or in programming, then its better for you, to do mba.
now a days mba is great demand in india as well as in foreign. so, there is no problem
if you can do mba after bca.

ok

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

hello monomita
you should go for MCA

The master’s degree in Management after the Bachelor program in Computer Application can be a difficult decision to make.
However, according to the changing trend of the IT market, it is highly advisable for any passed out candidate of BCA to pursue the master’s degree of the same course.

Even though the course is of three years as compared to only two years for the MBA course, it should be pursued.

BUT DON'T WORRY GIVE YOUR 100% AND GO FOR IT.
BEST OF LUCK

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

i think you should opt for master of business administration,
because there is no other option option left for you,
because for mca you need to be really good in programming so forget everything and go for mba
all the best

Re: Do I have to be good in programming if I want to do MCA after BCA?

hello monomita
Technically/Interestingly you should go for MCA
Intelligently you go for MBA

you have interest in programming but for future you should have good command in programming.
C & C++ are the basic languages further you have to go for JAVA ,.NET
If you can cover then go for MCA.

If you should not then go for MBA. MBA is also a tuff job
you must do your master degree from best institute.

their is another option i.e Msc. (IT) from IIT
If interested then reply me I will give you full detail.
