The maximum number of attempts allowed for different category candidates for qualifying the Civil Services examination are as below :- * General category candidates :- 6 attempts. * OBC category candidates :- 9 attempts. * SC/ST category candidates :- No limit. Re: What is the maximum number of attempts allowed for Civil Service prelims exam? Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC. It is conducted in three stages. Number of attempts - General - 6. OBC - 9. SC/ST - till the upper age limit 37 years beginning 21 years. So, you have 6 attempts to appear for Civil Service examination. I would like to know about the maximum number of attempts allowed to write the Civil Service prelims examination for General category candidates. And, what about other caste category candidates? |
