Re: Age limit for UGC NET exam? UGC NET is held 2 times in a year,you must be a post graduate with atleast aggregate 55% marks in any subject. The minimum age requirement for UGC NET is 19 yrs. You can simply log on to www.ugc.ac.in for more detail. |

Through NET exam you may go for the two options: If you want to become a Junior Research Fellow then your age should be within 28 years on or before 1st June on that year of applying. Candidates belonging to SC/ST or OBC or PH categories and women candidates should be provided a relaxation of 5years. But if you want to become a lecturer then there are no such upper limit in age. |

Relaxation, up to a maximum of 5 years, supported by a certificate from appropriate authority, is applicable to the candidates for the period spent on research/training in the related/relevant subject of post graduation. Total age relaxation on above grounds shall not exceed five (5) years under any circumstances. |

Re: Age limit for UGC NET exam? UGC conducts NET exam twice a year, in the months of June and December for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lecturership . Qualification :- post graduate with 55% in any subject. Age limit:- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)-- 19 to 28 For Lecturership minimum 19 and there is no upper age limit. Re: Age limit for UGC NET exam? UGC conducts NET exam means national eligiblity test for Junir research fellowoship and for lecturer post. There is no age limitation for lecturership but age bondation is only for jrf. Not more than 28 year as on 1/6/11 is able to give the exam for JRF. |

Age limit for UGC net is 19 to 28 years with relaxations for Age Limits:- for SC ST JRF you need to be less than 28 years of age.But for SC/ST/PD there is a Relaxation about 5 years. i.e 33 years is the Upper age limit for SC/ST/PD for JRF... further There is No Upper Limits for Lectureships |

Well, candidates wanting to go through UGC NET for LEcturership needs not to worry, because there is no age limit to appear in NET for Lecturership. For Junior Research Fellowship:- The maximum age permissiable is 28 years. Candidate should not reach the age of 28 till the 1st December (if appearing in december) or 1st June (if appearing in june). However, there is also relaxation for various candidates, as follows:- Relaxation of upto 5 years for - SC/ST/OBC/PH and VH.
