Re: Is Civil Service Exam objective or subjective type?

hi friend,
civil services exam has both objective and descriptive type of questions.
the exam pattern for civil services have two written test followed by a interview.

written test 1 known as CSAT has two objective papers which tests in candidate's knowledge on current events, history, geography, Indian Polity and governance, politics, economics and general science and candidate’s skills in communication, logical reasoning, analytical ability, basic maths and mental ability

written test 2 called as Mains have nine papers which is of descriptive type.

finally interview is conducted for candidates who pass in written exam.it is to assess the personal attitude of the candidate and also their confidence level.

Re: Is Civil Service Exam objective or subjective type?

hello friend

as you know the Civil Service Exam is the 3 tier exam..

each stage has its own significance..

the three stages are ..

preliminary..

mains

interview

preliminary, now changed its shape as CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test.

this is objective type..

which will almost be like IIT-JEE or AIEEE

mains , this is theory paper of 10 different papers...it will remember us our 10th exams or 12th exams.of 3 hours each paper.

so ,by this you can understand civils as the combination of all the patterns i.e. objective type ,theory type..and oral type in interview..

this is all according to my knowledge..

all the best

It consists of both objective and subjective type questions. The written exam is conducted in two parts. First you need to appear for the prelims which has objective type questions. The next is the mains exam where you will need to appear for the subjective type questions. You need to first clear the prelims only then will you be eligible to appear for the mains exam.
