Software Engineers are ones who have excellent programming and coding skills.

First pass your 9th and 10th standard with good marks at least above 65%.

For becoming like Software engineers, you have to choose Science stream in 11th and 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your primary subjects.

In addition, if you are opting for Computer Science as your optional subject, then it could be fruitful to you while pursuing graduation.

Appear for engineering entrance exams like MHCET, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, etc.

Qualify these exams and get admission to decent institutes.

Choose the branch as Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology.

During placement process, you will be recruited as Software Engineering depending upon your skills.

Dear Friend,

You want to become a software engineer in future then you have to start labouring hard from now. You have to complete 10th standard with very good percentage and also 12th standard with minimum 75 percent aggregate in PCM (physics, chemistry and mathematics).

Then after you have to apply for JEE Mains examination. After qualifying mains, you have to apply for JEE Advanced. And if you will qualify advance examination, you will get admission in IIT in your desired stream.

You can also apply for JEE Mains examination while appearing in 12th standard.

To become software engineer in future you have to opt for non medical stream along with an additional subject of computer science or information technology in your 11th standard. Once you will qualify your 12th standard with good percentage you will have to appear in the entrance exam known as Joint Entrance Test. If you would be able to qualify the entrance test then will be given admission in college and particular trade according to the merit and your choice.

*** Being a Class 9th student, to become an engineer in any trade you need to follow the following steps :

* After completion of your Class 10th you need to pursue your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects with at least 45% marks ( minimum marks varies with the institute from a recognized board of education.

* After completion of your higher secondary school degree your need to pursue Bachelor of engineering / technology degree course ( with computer science trade to become a software engineer ) which is a professional undergraduate degree course of four years.

Further to pursue same degree course from top technical institutes like IIT, IIIT, ISM, NIT and other private or government engineering colleges you need to qualify entrance examinations like JEE, COMED-K, State EEE, VITEEE, SRMEEE, BITSAT, etc. by satisfying their respective eligibility criteria.
