There are various nursing courses available after 12th for aspirants like BSc nursing course, Diploma in nursing etc. But for psychiatrics nursing course candidates must have completed Class 12 level of education in Science stream with Biology as one of the compulsory subjects from a recognised Indian Board. After that, candidates will have to complete an MBBS and then MD. Aspirants can also opt for a diploma in Psychiatric medicine (DPM) from a recognized educational institute. |

In order to join BSc Nursing course the minimum educational requirements should be the passing of 12th class from a recognized board or university with science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) with minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) and further 5% relaxation is permitted for SC/ST students. If you have 45% in these subjects then you can apply in the colleges and if you don’t have 45% in these subjects then you can apply for the improvement exams in 12th class and simultaneously do some short term course.
