General Bachelor of Science candidate can not apply for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection Common written examination for Specialist Officer. For Specialist officer examination, if you want to apply for IT officer, you must have done bachelor's degree in technology in computer science engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication etc.

For law officer in banks, bachelor's degree in law is required. There is specialization needed to apply for various posts under Specialist officer exam of IBPS.
