if there is no ug for biomechanics..should i do biomed engg. and then study bio mechanics?i didnt study bio in 12th so am i eligible?pls give details..
Their is no B.Tech Course in Biomechanics, it is one of the specialisation of B.Tech Biomedical Engineeering, for Biomedical Engineering no need of Biology at all, you should require mainly mathematics ,physics and chemistry as eligbility. Biomedical Engineering is actaly application of Engineering in Medical Field, you will only human anatomy and physiology as Bio subjects that too in masters degree's you will concentrate on quantitative physiology, so main subject of intreast you require is Mathematics itself

In Kerala ,Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology,Kodakara, Thrissur (www.sahrdaya.ac.in) affiliated to University of Calicut and Model Engineering College,Cochin (www.mec.ac.in) affiliated to University of Cochin offers B.Tech Course in Biomedical Engineering

Biomechanics is one of the highly interdisciplinary branch of engineering which is usualy refered as a part of Biomedical Engineering in undergraduate level and you will study one or two courses in Biomechanics. Also it is very important to have good basics in Engineering Mechanics and Human Anatomy- physiology which you will, study on first and second year of B.Tech Biomedical Engineering (i highly NOT recommening Biomedical Engineering in low standard private deemed university).

If you are realy interested in biomechanics, I recommend you to plan for masters as well as a doctoral degree in biomechanics because their is a lot of scope research in this area. Till now we are not understood about many of human mechanics in microscopic level(eg: more than 600 muscle's mechanics unknown) also their is a huge deficiency of Biomechanics specialised Engineers

Many of the Mechanical Engineers/Aerospace Engineers also now a day's doing their research and higher studies in biomechanics area, and became a recent trend.

In India Dept. of Applied Mechanics, IIT Madras is the best option for M.Tech/ MS/P.Hd Degree's in Biomechanics, Also many other IIT's /NIT's (best place to master in Biomechanics)offers research facilities offers in Biomechanics and ergnomics
