HI!

Coaching classes are not necessary for clearing bank PO exam. If you have confidence in yourself you can easily pass the bank PO exam by self study. Hard work, determination & right strategy will help you to get selected as a bank PO.

For bank PO exam knowledge of current affairs & marketing aptitude is a must. Time management is also important.

Some of the reference book/magazine for PO exam are:
quantitative aptitude- r.s.agarwal
current affair & gk- pratiyogita darpan, newspaper
verbal & non verbal reasoning - r.s.agarwal

No coaching classes are not very much required if incase you work really hard and do regular practice of all the sections which are asked in bank exam asPRACTICE MAKES A MAN PERFECT

So hard work is needed which is regular and sincere.

there is no need of coaching
Initiate your study with have a look over syllabus and then go through one by one pick the recommonded books.
General studies are very important for bank exam so read news paper and other general knowledge books.

Re: Are coaching classes required for Bank PO Exams Preparation? Or competitive books are enough?

Well, on first thought, you can make it if you are really committed to achieving your goal; but then one thing is that you will have to manage it all by yourself...and that is quite a difficult thing to do. If, however, you join an academy/institute like Brilliant Tutorials, Bank Power, Career Plus, JTS, Pathfinder or Sachdeva New P.T. College, it will be much easier for you. They will give you assignments and conduct series of mock tests...things that will give you good practise. These institutes also help you at the interview stage...so, I think that you should join a coaching class.

Re: Are coaching classes required for Bank PO Exams Preparation? Or competitive books are enough?

Since you are a graduate student so qualifiying bank clerical examination won't be tough for you. You can prepare well by refering banks clerical aptitute books for bank clerical examinations and previous years solved and unsolved question papers.

Actually bank exam are not so tough but they are too lenghthy that one can't solve all the questions in the given time. In coaching centres they will guide you that how to solve as much reasoning questions in the limited time.

So i would suggest you to first prepare from questions book and practice from solved and un-solved questions. And further you can take coaching if you need to take so.

Good Luck..........

Hello
In my openion as you are a engineering student you should not have more problem in maths and as we all know maths and reasoning are the key subjects for Bank PO exams. also if you think that your mental ability part is not good than you should join the coaching classes. otherwise practice and guides are enough to crack them.

Re: Are coaching classes required for Bank PO Exams Preparation? Or competitive books are enough?

If you don't have clear idea about the exam pattern and the way to prepare you should take coaching.

If you can get the required information and if you are aware of them then you can directly prepare by yourself without joining any coaching institute.

Re: Are coaching classes required for Bank PO Exams Preparation? Or competitive books are enough?

Hello,
It mostly depends on you how whether you can handle it all by yourself or not.But as far as i am concerned, there is no need of coaching classes. You need to believe in yourself, have self-confidence.
For Bank PO exams, prepare for the aptitude,Reasoning,General awareness. For this you can follow books like R.S.Agarwal,Abhijit Guha,M.Tyra.R.S. agarwal is mostly preferred. For General knowledge, follow any standard books like Lucent and others.Keep yourself updated with the latest happening around the world.

You can achieve near perfection only by practice.Practice is the key to this exams. So,you can do it by yourself.
Good Luck.

coaching classes are not necessary as it is not the guarantee of your sucess. your sucess depends upon your hard working . and if you are hard worker then you will surely get sucess in bank po by studying only books . but if you are facing some problems then it is advisible for you to join coaching in order to achieve sucess.

To beat bank PO exams you need to have command on maths and be accurate and speedy in your calculations.
For increasing your speed you need to know some mathematics tricks and techniques. For speedy calculation you must either practice maximum number of questions daily or just join any coaching classes which will help you to get your speed as they conduct speed test

Re: Are coaching classes required for Bank PO Exams Preparation? Or competitive books are enough?

dear friend,

As you a B.Tech student so choosing Bank PO is different from your degree, so it will be better for you to join any coaching institute for the preparation of Bank PO.

Otherwise, you can take preparation from doing self study and following some good books, magazines & also previous year paper of your desired exam.

Choice is yours, but i prefer coaching institutes.

good luck.
