Other than your graduation course ( BBA ) you need to give specific time for preparation of examination to qualify in examination.

Three most essential requirements to qualify in Civil Services examination is Proper strategy, determination and dedication to your studies.

So, as per your interest in any specific course you need to prepare for it as optional paper, go through the Newspaper ( English) and various magazine to be update about Current Affairs and General Studies as per syllabus for examination.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. For this service, you will have to appear for Civil services exam which is the toughest examination of India. It is good decision of yours to start your preparation from first year of bachelor's degree.

In first phase of preparation, you can read NCERT books of social science subjects like History, Political science, geography, economics and science. You must go through NCERT books of all these subjects from standard 6th to 10+2.

In second phase of your preparation, you can go through standard books like Indian Polity by Laxmikant, Geography by Leong, Economics by Ramesh Singh etc. In final stage of preparation, you can join any good institute for test series.
