Re: Indian Defence jobs after Diploma in Mechanical engineering? It is not possible to join Indian defence with a diploma as a qualification. Diploma is consider equivalent to intermediate/10+2 and often considered superior to 10+2. Based on intermediate qualification,there are only two entries in defence 1)NDA(National Defence Academy) Age limit-16.5 years to 19.5 years,at the time of commencement of course. If your age satisfy the required condition,then you can certainly apply for NDA,if not which is likely to be the case,then you are not eligible. 2)UES(University Entry Scheme) Age limit-16.5 to 19.5 years,at the time of commencement of course. Both the entries have very small age limitation.It is not possible to join for you,as you are studying diploma 2nd year,your age has already passed. The best way would be to apply for defence after completing graduation,after diploma go for full engineering course of three year with lateral entry and become a full fledged engineer and then apply for CDSE. CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination and is the best option for aspirants for applying in Indian defence,after completing graduation.Age limit bar is more here and not small as that of NDA/UES. |
