Those who have completed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and biology as core subjects with minimum 50% overall (45% for sc/st ) and 60% in each core subject. Both PCM and PCB candidates are eligible to apply. Admission is granted on the basis of entrance exam. In some cases candidate needs to pass entrance exam like DUET, SAAT, KIITEE etc |

The duration of this course is 3 years. Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called IIT JAM. |

Candidates need to qualify the 10+2 level from any recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects to be eligible for BSc Biotechnology. BSc Biotechnology colleges in India conduct their own entrance tests for granting admission to this course which is usually followed by a personal interview session for final selection. |
