Re: Is Online diploma valid for government job? Yes. The degrees obtained online or through open and distance learning (ODL) are completely appropriate for a government*job. But candidates must qualify for the relevant exam for the position of Government job. |

There are certain technical courses like in the field of engineering , medical, hotel management , architecture etc Which the Government of India does not allow to be offered through distance mode. For any central or State Government job, one has to go through an entrance exam to secure the job. Therefore they accept students with the required degree irrespective of the mode of learning. One has to get through the entrance and interview to secure a job. It's just that the University from which one persues the online/distance degree must be approved by Government Regulatory body , UGC and DEB. |

If you are applying for a job in the central government, then you must know that you have to appear for and clear an entrance examination to get the job. The online/ distance degrees are considered equivalent to the regular degree, it makes you eligible to give the entrance exam for Central Government recruitment. |

Re: Is Online diploma valid for government job? Yes, it is vaid if your degree is from University which is approved by UGC(University Grants Commission) and DEB(Distance Education Bureau). Online or distance degrees are equally considered as regular degree. Therefore your diploma is valid for government job. |
