Eligibility: * the candidate must be a citizen of India *The candidate must pass medical fitness test for sea service with eyesight 6/6 with no colour blindness. * you have to do one of these course to join in Merchant Navy B.E Marine Engineering M.E Marine Engineering B.sc Nautical Science B.E Marine Engineering: Complete any of this course and then apply for joining in Merchant Navy ALL THE BEST |

B.E Marine Engineering this course contains 4 years, eligilbility for this course completed respected +2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as subjects. b.sc nautical science- 3 years,10+2 with pcm passed ok dear all the best |

Re: Merchant Navy after 12th standard with science stream? Since you are already a B.Tech you are eligible to join this stream. But since you are not from the marine engineering stream you will need to go through the one year of pre sea training. Also you have more than the minimum of 50% marks which is the minimum requirement. You need to select the institute from which you plan to do the course. You will need to appear for an entrance exam for joining that institute. On clearing the test you will need to appear for an interview round. Only on clearing this will you be able to join the institute for training. But before that you will also need to undergo a physical fitness test. There will be a thorough check up as it is a must in this field. After training you can choose which company you would like to work for. |

Those candidates who are very serious about there career and they are doing very hard work towards there work then sure they will get a chance to make there career. So if you are also worried about your career just after the 12th class and you want to make your career in Merchant Navy then this is also the best way to make good career early. Merchant Navy welcomes all the young science students. The minimum marks required in 12th class are 60%. So you can apply for the Merchant Navy. |

It seems that you are afraid of studying maths but no problem , you can get rid of maths by taking pcb in your 11th class and then you can opt for the below career options after 12 class:- various felds you can move in are as follows:- 1. Go for mbbs/bds 2. Go for ias after graduation 3. Go for ifs after graduation 4. Go for bank services 5. Go for biotechnology 6. Go for defence services 7.go for various types of proffesional diplomas 8. Mba after graduation 10. Animation field 11. Basic sciences- bsc/msc |

As you are a student of class 12th Science Stream there are following courses (Undergraduate Level):--- 1.3 year degree course in Nautical Science (Institutions : TS Chanakya (Through IIT-JEE) Southern Academy of Maritime Studies (Chennai), Vels Academy of Maritime Education & Training (Chennai) 2- 4 year degree course in Marine Engineering Institutions : MERI (Through IIT-JEE) Tolani Maritime Institute (Mumbai) Southern Academy of Maritime Studies (Chennai), Vels Academy of Maritime Education & Training (Chennai)) 3 -3 month course for Deck Cadets Institutions offering training: TS Bhadra (Kolkata), TS Mekhala (Vishakapatanam), TS Navlakshmi, Southern Academy of Maritime Studies (Chennai) In addition, a candidate can join as utility hand or Petty Officers (Fitters) after completing 4 Basic Courses, i.e. FPFF, EFA, PSSR and PST. There are various other institutes like Academy of Maritime Education and Training (chennai), National Institute of Port Management (Uthandi, Chennai), International Maritime Institute (Greater Noida UP) etc, which offer various courses in maritime studies. |

There are four Government Training Institutes providing Pre-Sea and Post-Sea training of international standard : Training Ship Chanakya, Navi Mumbai.
