Re: Will I be eligible for placements in CTS after scoring 60% with 2 backlogs in 3rd year? i have completed my class 10 with 74% marks but couldn't complete my class 12 as i got backlog in physics and mathematics after that i wasted 1 more year clearing that but finally couldn't. now i am doing diploma in ETCE and my average of all semester is 7o % will this gap before diploma will matter getting a job in cognizant ??? |

Re: Will I be eligible for placements in CTS after scoring 60% with 2 backlogs in 3rd year? hi dear, CTS's criteria are >60 % aggregate and above in 10th, 12th and UG course. > No outstanding arrears. > Maximum study gap of 3 years. > Good communication and Technical Skills. nothing for back logs are specified .since you are having a back log in 3rd year you can clear it in your final year and then apply, marks wise you are eligible.. like if you have a back log in your 5th sem you can clear it because a few companies do have a specification that no active backlogs.. and more contact your TPO he may guide you better . thanks |

company considering your previous marks e.g 10th,12th, graduate i.e the course which you have passed by seeing previous course marks , company criteria will decide whether you are eligible for that company or not. |

I have no backlogs I have completed my 10th board(with 74%) in the year 2002 and i have not completed my 12th std as I had back in 12th std in the year 2004 and 2005.After that i had done a course from IGNOU from 2005 to 2006.After that I had completed my Diploma Engineering in Computer Science & Technology in the year 2006 to 2009 (with 75.8%).Presently I am doing my B.Tech (Lateral Entry) final year(with no backlogs)....Please suggest which company will allow me for placement?? |

As you mention that your percetage is above 60 percent so satisfy the percentage criteria needed for the companies like TCS infosys but you also mention that you have two backlogs so there is no fixed eligibility criteria for placement in the companies like TCS , Infosys. It depends on the situation whether they allows backlogs or not. So it fully depend on your luck. |

With your marks you can apply but with your backlog you can not apply in CTS also in any other Mnc’s. So before passing your degree you should clear your all backlog and then you can apply. |

Re: Will I be eligible for placements in CTS after scoring 60% with 2 backlogs in 3rd year? sorry my friend you will not be eligible for placements if you have backlogs at the time of placements.most top MNCs will expect the candidates without any standing arrears at the time of placement. history of arrears will not affect placements in any way.so clear all your backlogs before your final year exams to get good chance for getting placed in companies of your choice. and your marks is also pretty less as most companies expect minimum of 65%marks to 75% marks. ofcourse you can improve your percentage to 65% so you can try for jobs during placements itself. but still you need to have no backlogs. gud luck. |

Re: Will I be eligible for placements in CTS after scoring 60% with 2 backlogs in 3rd year? hallo charan, as you have 66% in 10th and 75%in 12th and 60.4% in your graduation upto 3rd semester, so you satisfy the criteria of these three MNC's... but the problem is you have 2 backlogs, and they want a candidate who has no backlogs..so, you have to first clear your backlogs, otherwise sorry to say you that you can't appear in your on campusing.. work hard and clear your backlogs first.. |

Normally software companies see 60% through out your carrier ..and no present backlog so you concentrate on studies clear your backlogs and then see companies .CTS,INFOSYS,TCS are good software companies so you will sure get chance to sit these companies on campus or off campus . so main thing is that clear your all back log ... then concentrate on aptitude test,GD,PI good luck |
