The notifications announce the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September. Qualification:- Post graduate with 55% in any stream. The acronym for UGC is University Grants Commission. The acronym for NET is National Eligibility Test. Yes, you are eligible for NET examination. The National Eligibility Test (NET) is the national level entrance examination in India for postgraduate candidates who wish to qualify for admission in PhD research and/or university level teaching jobs in India. UGC(University Grants Commission) conducts NET examination twice every year in the months of June and December for the posts of JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship. The eligibility criteria required for the NET examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of post-graduation in any discipline with 55% marks from any recognized university. * 50% marks required for the SC/SST contenders. * Age limit:- 20-28 yrs - JRF. No age limit - Lectureship. * Age relaxation:- 5 yrs for OBC, and SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. |

University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. Age Limitation:- Junior Research Fellowship: Not more than 28 years. Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for apply. Eligibility for NET You have to complete your Master Degree at least 55% Marks or equivalent examination from universities recognized by UGC in Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. If you Final year appearing candidates are also apply for NET Examination. Thanks.. All the Best!! |
