Repected sir, I am M S Shailendhar dev i have completed my 10th standard with 84.8% and 12th standard with 82.8% i am pursuing Chartered accountancy course i want to join INDIAN ARMY to serve the nation and that is my passion and now i am 19 years old and my intermediate group is MEC (maths economics commerce) and also i am martial artist and silver medalist in state wide kick boxing champion ship i got a lot of passion to serve in armed forces and i am 100% physically fit sir can i join the army at age of 21 year and is any graduation is necessary for joining please kindly reply sir. Indian Military Academy and Officer's Training Academy exam is conducted by UPSC under CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam twice every year. Graduate with minimum 60% marks are eligible to apply for IMA and OTA of CDS. For Indian Military Academy the age limit is from 19 to 24 years and for Officer's Training Academy the age limit is 19 to 25 years of age. For further information you may log on to www.upsc.gov.in |

HI dear, you are very well eligible for appearing for IMA or NDA now and you will also be eligible after your graduation ....... as you are born in 1990....you are eligible for appearing for nda this year too ......you can also apply for technical entry for army,navy and air force..... after graduation there is a separate exam sheld for entry in IMA or NDA that is called as CDS .......the minimum eligibility for it is graduation in any field...... so dint worry about age wise eligibility.....prepare well for nda and do your graduation with good percentage......... Im 2010 passed out in Information Tech(engg.) i had an arrear while i studied 2nd year.But i completed the degree wid 73%. In 10th i got 89%. In 12th i got 81%. Am i eligible to apply for IMA or OTA..for 2012 intake? Because you have started your degree you can enter through one of the following entry which is for graduates. Graduates (Direct Entry) The UPSC holds an all-India competitive examination, known as the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE), twice a year for University graduates or equivalent. Successful candidates can join Indian Military Academy for their pre- commission training after the interview conducted by the Service Selection Board and if finally selected, depending on their merit list ranking, are sent to Indian Military Academy. Candidate should be in the age of 19-24. The course commences each year in the month of January and July. Engineering Graduates (Direct Entry) An Engineering graduate can join the Indian Military Academy directly. They only need to attend the Service Selection Board interview. Age at the time of joining should be between 20-27 years. The course commences every year in the month of January and July. University Entry Scheme: Students who are in final and pre-final years of engineering degree course can also apply to Indian army as an officer. They are eligible for induction into technical branches/services of the army as commissioned officers under the University Entry Scheme. Age should be between 19-25 years for final year engineering students and 18-24 for pre-final year engineering students. Month of commencement of course in each year is July. Selection is Based on campus interview and Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. Applications should be sent in response to the advertisement published in July. |
