TNPSC conduct examinations for direct recruitment to the service of the state. The Age limit For TNPSC Group Exam: Minimum Age:The aspirant must have minimum 18 year old. Maximum Age: 1.Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows of all castes:- 35 Years 2.Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities., Backward Classes and Backward Classes (Muslims):- 32 Years 3."Others” or General :- 30 Years 4.For the persons who are trained in Survey in ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only:-35 Years |

TNPSC is conducting VAO exam and last date of receipt of application is 20.08.2010 . Study materials are available in all leading book-stalls. The pattern of exam is objective type and questions will be asked in General Knowledge, General English and General Tamil The detailed syllabus have been provided at T.N.Public Service Commission Bulletin or log on www.tnpsc.gov.in |

Age limit for TNPSC group exams differs according to the caste category and group exams for a general category candidate, his age must be above 18 and must be less than 30. age relaxations is available for SC/ST/PH candidates as they dont have any upper age limit for applying. |

Re: What is the age limit for TNPSC group exams? Maximum age is 30 years. 5 years is relaxable to sc/st candidates that is 35 is maximum age for above said category. If you are post graduate 2 years is relaxable. |

You also need to be greater than 18 yrs. of age as mentioned in the notification published by TNPSC . The upper age-limit is relax-able by 5 years for candidates belonging to reserved categories like SCs, STs, OBCs and some select service-holders. For more detailed/precise information, it is highly advisable that you refer to the TNPSC issued notifications. Coming to study materials, the Tamil Nadu School Books are the best study materials...you will need to consult your books from Standard VI to Standard XII (English, Tamil, Science, Maths, Economics,etc.). Solving the previous years' question papers will help you. You also need to have Adequate knowledge in Tamil which is considered essential. You need to have deep knowledge in the subject and after that practice them well with the study materials provided by leading civil services coaching.
