hi.. it's not necessary to do inplant training in 2nd year.
If you are really interested in that field then you can go for it because now a days most of the students are going in software sector. ( also mechanical and electrical students)
So it's not so important to inplant training.

well to do training is not necessary in may colleges but in some colleges it is the part of

course
so then it is compulsory .

generally training is included in the syllabus to prepare students for industry .it helps in

learning many things which you will never learn in your college life moreover it helps in

giving students a platform to select at which area they want to do work .there is no

problem in doing training as it only help you and your career .

i would personally recommend you to do training as it will help you a lot and it

will also give you advantage over other students when you will sit for an

interview .
