ELIGIBILITY

Education Qualification

M.Sc. or Equivalent degree under the subjects mentioned in para 2.1 above, with minimum 55% marks for General & OBC candidates; 50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually Handicapped candidates and Ph.D. degree holders who had passed Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991.

Age limit and relaxation


AGE LIMIT& RELAXATION
For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years as on 01-12-2012 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy Layer), Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants).

For LS (NET): Minimum 19 years, as on 01.12.2012. No upper age limit.

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST

 The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A,B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.

# Part 'A' shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Science, Quantitative Reasoning & Analysis and Research Aptitude.

# Part 'B' shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.

# Part 'C' shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.

Hai,
NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST) is conducted by the UGC twice in every year i.e in the month of july and december respectively.

Educational qualification:

The candidate should be complete post graduatio from any recognised university with atleast 55% marks.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

Age criteria for junior research:

Age limit is 19years to 28years.

Age criteria for lecturship:

In this there is no upper age limit but the minimum is 19years.

Age limit for UGC NET exam are as follows: -

1. For Junior Research Fellowship - A candidate not more than 28 years and a relaxation upto 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC / PH / VH categories and to women applicants.

2. For Lectureship: There is no upper age limit for applying.

For Junior Research Fellowship the age limit is 18-28 years.For the Lecturer ship there is no age limit criteria.

The age limit for NET exam is as under-
1. For Junior Research Fellowship - The minimum age is 19 and the maximum age is 28 years. Age Relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, PH and OBC Candidates.

2. For Lectureship - There is No Upper Age limit for Applying for Lectureship.But the minimum age is same as 19 in this case too.

Hi,
The NET examination is conducted for Lecturer-ship and Junior Fellow Research.
The age limit for Lecturer-ship is minimum 19 years and there is no upper age limit.
The age limit for Junior Fellow Research is from 19 years to 28 years.

The lower age limit in NET is 19 yr while upper age limit is 28 yr for JRF with relaxation of 5yr for SC/ST and 3yr for OBC,and no age limit for LS.

Firstly I Have To Inform You That The NET Examination was Conducted BY UGC Every Year Two Times, Firstly In June And Secondly In December Month.

To Apply for NET examination, You need to Purse a Master Degree Examination With At least 55% Marks (If You are General Candidates). Final year Master Degree Candidates are also Eligible For NET Examination.

AGE ELIGIBLITY -

For Junior Research Fellowship - Your Age Should Not be More Than 28 years. Age Relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, PH and OBC Candidates.

And For Lectureship - There is No Upper Age limit for Applying for Lectureship.

Eligible Candidates May apply for NET examination Online. But June Examination Was Already Completed. So, if you have Missed the Chance, Then Please apply for December Examination.

  • For Junior Research fellowship – You must be between 19 –28 years of age.
  • For Lectureship – There is no upper age limit. You should be at least 19 years of age.
