Sir I m from Northeast India and I have already completed my M.Sc in Ecology and Environmental Science with specialization in Wildlife Conservation in this year and I m also interested in Herpetology work. If you will pursue a higher qualification in the discipline of wildlife sciences, then there will be wide range of career options for you in wildlife teaching, research, health care, manage-ment and conservation areas in universities, State Forest and Animal Husbandry Departments, research institutes, Ministry of Environment and Forests and in NGOs. Many opportunities also exist in the foreign countries for the deserving candidates. The wildlife specialists from India are finding jobs abroad as wildlife consultants for esteemed organizations. The most important of these being the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Wildlife Conservation Society, Peoples for Ethical Treatment of Animals etc. |

There are many option for career in wild life science.. you can become RESEARCH FELLOW or RESEARCH ASSOCIATE. you can do Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Sciences/Biological Sciences or Doctorate degree in Zoology/ Botany/ Wildlife Sciences/Environmental Sciences/ Life Sciences.!!! |

Hi friend you choose a good option, most of them don't go for that, so student is less vacancy is more, but salary is less, you should go for higher studies in that like MSc and then continue your Phd there itself, then it will be very much useful, because you are interested in that subject that why? make your health in good condition,Best of luck |

Re: Career in wildlife sciences? dear friend There are very wide career in this field, Those with Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the intermediate level can go for B.Sc Forestry course. Further the masters level offers specialisation in subjects like Forest Management, Commercial Forestry, Forest Economics, Wood Science & Technology, Wildlife Science. After completing Master courses in wildlife, then you will get jobs in foresters, dendrologists, ethologists, entomologists, silviculturists, forest range officers, zoo curators etc.......... |
