I am having developmental cataract in my left eye and pseudophakia in my right eye... am I eligible to join army as an officer?

My son has developmental cataract in left eye and pseudophakia in right eye. Is he medically fit to become an army officer?

I am 19 years old having an eye sight. Left eye 0.3 and right eye 0.5 vision. Do i eligible to join INDIAN ARMY.

i had a injury in my right eye when i was i small child and now when i got my eye checked the doctor said i have traumatic cataract but the vision of my left eye is perfect and i can see clearly with both my eyes so after a laser surgery of cataract can i try for enterance in the army? will be rejected even if i can see 6/6 with both my eyes after operation?

I was injured in one eye and got it operated. Now I have power of -4 in one eye only which is corrected to 6/6 with glasses. My other eye is normal. Am I eligible ?

Most probably you will be rejected as there are strict norm to be fulfilled concerning eye sight. Normal eye sight is a must for an applicant to join in any defence force. The distant vision must be 6/6 for each eye with or without glasses and should not be colour blind. Surgical alteration of Myopia is an undying rejection. A candidate must hear forced whisper with each ear from a distance of 610 cms. The existence of wax in the ear is a temporary rejection. Boys with flat foot and knocking knees and other deformities will also be rejected.

I guess cataract is an eye disease which often occurs during old age...so first you have to chech wether your age permits or makes you qualified for the exams of entrance or not...

an moreover if your eye power is corectable upto 6/6 with pair of glasses..then ofcourse you are eligible
