Re: Am I eligible for bank PO exam after securing 58% in B.Sc and 62% in MCA?

Hello friend,

Just take all your worries off because no doubt you are eligible for bank PO examination. For this you should have graduation degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks for almost all the bank PO examination and the age limit is 21 to 30 years that means candidates should not be below 21 years and not above 30 years.

You have completed your graduation with 58% marks so definetly you are eligible and you have also done MCA which is your plus point.

But one thing that you should keep in your mind is that some banks like overseas bank throw this examination for a graduate with 60% marks so before filling the form carefully go through the official website and notifications given.

And if you are under reserved quota then you need not to be worry because for reserved category there are a relaxation of minimum 5% marks in almost all the banks.

From this year SBI is demanding only your graduation certificate and age limit for PO examination. It doesn't matter whether you have 50% or 60% marks in graduation.

GOOD LUCK......

Re: Am I eligible for bank PO exam after securing 58% in B.Sc and 62% in MCA?

This varies from recuritment rules of bank to bank. Some banks need just graduation where as many banks demand 60% marks in graduation for science graduates whereas 55% for arts and commerce stream graduates. Concession of 5% marks is given to sc/st canditates in this minimum eligibilty marks.
So before applying for the post of PO in any bank you must read the advertisment carefully.
Since you have done masters in computer application you can directiy apply for recuritment of specialist officiers in various bank and get the job of system analyst, data base managment etc. which is a higher post in bank than PO.

Hey friend,

The bank exam are held by many banks. The eligibility criteria changes from bank-bank.The candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria to apply for the exam and they are:

Eligibility:
  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  2. The candidate must have a age limit of 21-30 years of age.
  3. The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university with 60% aggregate. Some banks prefer for 55%.
  4. The candidates must know about computers and must know to operate MS Office.

As you have said that you have got 58% in UG and 62% in PG,it will be tough for you if they verify your UG mark as some may ask for 60% or for your good time if they refer your PG marks you are absolutely eligible.

Thank you and all the best.

Re: Am I eligible for bank PO exam after securing 58% in B.Sc and 62% in MCA?

Yes, you are lucky that you are eligible by some percentage.

The eligibility criteria for bank PO exam are:

1) You have to show your degree of passing by the end of the time decided by the bank authorities.

2) You should have a minimum of 55% marks throughout your graduation (relaxation for SC/ST)

Some times it is 60%...It depends from bank to bank.

3) You should have a degree in computer from NIT's or other institutes.

4) Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

So cheer up, as you are eligible.
