Re: Difference between M.E and M.Tech? Which one is better?

hiiiiiiiiiii.........
To my knowledge, when institute wants to starts a course,ME/MTech,it has to take permission from All India Council for Technical Education.Depending on faculty/labs avaiable,it can qualify for the required course.Generally speaking MTech course attracts more crowd as Mtech carries more 'waitage' in market than ME as MTech is supposed to be 'slightly more technical' than ME.So there is more competition for MTech course than ME.Ofcourse there are many exceptions.
Also MTech is supposed to slightly specialized.
both me and m.tech having equal value.........
best of luck............

Re: Difference between M.E and M.Tech? Which one is better?

hello friend
there is no big difference between ME and Mtech. ME is practical oriented and full of engineering . Mtech means research oriented and technology based. Most of the Colleges which give Mtech degree is just dummy. Only premier institutes like IITs or NITs can provide you an Mtech degree others are all just for namesake. In other coll you wont do any research and just it will be like ME
so you may take any one of the two courses for you....
best of luck

Both degrees are similar in terms of values and scope. Both the degrees
gives you the same job opportunity.
Actually in earlier days some of the institutes offer degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts, Education and Engineering too such universities or institutes
are put under Masters degree.
And some of the institutes offer only engineering degree then such institutes are put under the M.tech degree course.
But now AICTE approved both degrees as similar and put the degree into one
name called M.Tech.
