You should concentrat on Reasoning Ability Test, Quantitative Aptitude
General Awareness/Computer Knowledge, English Language , discriptive paper
based on social economic and some social issues for PO post.

Selection Procedure:-

a) Tier I - Preliminary Examination: Time 2 Hrs. (combined)
Candidates will be called for an objective type examination. The objective type examination will
consist of

i) Reasoning Ability Test
ii) Quantitative Aptitude
iii) General Awareness/Computer Knowledge
iv) English Language

b) Tier II - Main Test: Time 3 Hrs. (combined)

Main test will be an Objective and Descriptive type examination.

The objective type examination of 2 hours duration will consist of :
i) Test of Reasoning
ii) Data Analysis and Interpretation
iii) Marketing Knowledge
iv) Test of English Language

The Descriptive type examination will be a test of English knowledge - Time 60 Minutes

C) Tier III - Group Discussion & Interview:

Qualifying candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview and the shortlisted candidates from Tier III will be considered for final selection to the post of probationary officer.

For the post of PO you should cover following topics-
mathematics upto intermediate level
general awareness and general aptitute test
high level reasoning
general knowledge and english language(vocabulary, comprehension etc.)
data interpretation and basic computer knowledge
beside all these topics you must maintain your speed as you have to solve the paper in 2 hours.
there is a provision of negative marking also so attempt only those question in which you are sure.

Encyclopedia of general awareness and general knowledge
Computer awareness(Introduction to computers) etc.

For the post of PO of any bank you have to prepare your following topics-
maths upto intermediate level
general knowledge with english language( vocabulary,comprehension etc.)
basic computer knowledge
general awareness,marketing test
general aptitude test
data analysis and interpretation test, and
high level reasoning test
After that you should remember that speed is so much necessary to get success in PO exam so practice more and more model test papers in least time for getting better speed .

A modern approach to logical reasoning
after selection in written test you will be called for interview.

preparation
test contain general ability
1.for english,go through newspaper daily ,R.S SHARMA,WREN and MARTIN.
2.for quantative ability use
R.S aggarwal and N.S jain.
and there are many sample paper available in markets as well in book shops.

For PO,You need to prepare for
1) qUANTITATIVE APTITUDE
2) REASONING ABILITY
3) ENGLISH
4)DESCRIPTIVE
For quantitative you need to practice a lot as the number of questions are more and time given is less
So practice practice and lots of practice
You can check previous year papers to see the pattern

For bank PO exam, you should start the preparation from 3 to 4 months before the exam...

the best way to prepare for the exam is to buy one or two books from the market, the name for which is given below, and start practicing.

the more you practice the more you will be able to complete the paper in that limited time which is very short to solve all the questions.

so practice is everything to prepare for bank's exam.

If you want to become an probationary officer.First one,you have to know about latest notifications in Banking sector for PO.which bank do i have to prepare?.After answering this question.You have to start your preparation.

Generally,Every bank PO Exam common Topics are Quantitative Aptitude,Logical Reasoning,Verbal and Non verbal,General Awareness,Computer Terminology,and English Language.

So, How do we have to prepare for Each Section for this exam?

Before starting you PO preparation,
First, you have to learn Tables from 1 to 20 tables.

Tips for Bank PO Exam:

1.As you have to give 200-250 word answers do fast calculations, use all short cuts available in the world to solve your math related problems
2.Aptitude & resoning can be confusing, so allocate more time to solve them
3.Beleive me your 10th maths bok will help you in dealing with Quantitative aptitude!!!
4.Reasoning Questions cant be learnt over night. Only practice can help you and if you are creative in nature it will help you a lot( i took just 3 days to master it)
5.Read basic English grammar books as you will definitely have synonyms & antonyms. Grammar Questions and sentence Formation.
6.Read The Hindu or any national English paper( dont start with the middle page, you will definitely get a nice sleep, instead start with interesting Regional news and procede to National and financial news).
7.Finally dont guess and answer in your exam. Remember there are negative marks waiting to drag you down the pit.
8.Increase your speed by working on Question papers to increase the Speed and concentration level.

* age - 21 to 30 years
5 years relax for SC/ST
