Serious problem in sending the application form of iit jee 2012!!!...Please Help Urgently.

Could anyone be kind enough to tell me whether I've to send the checklist along with the application form or not? Also please tell me whether I've to send my original OBC (NCL) documents given by the authority or to fill up the form given by iit and get it signed by the authorities. IIT has also given a declaration form to be filled up. Do I have to send that too? What can be the worst case if I send the following documents only:-

1. Completed application form with photograph
2. Attested Qualifying Certificate of class 10th.
3. Attested Caste Certificate of OBC (NCL) issued by competent authority

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN B.E AND B.TECH & M.E AND M.TECH
Another common question among engineering students and usually a question of argument between friends is what is the difference between B.Tech and BE, which is better or have better scope. Similarly for M.Tech too, what is the difference between M.Tech and ME. I searched for it and found many forums are filled with non satisfying replies. I will present a most reasonable and valid difference between these two.

First please note that there is no difference between these degrees in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have smilar scope and future and on the same time ME and M.Tech have same scope future.

Now let%u2019s dig the question little deep. If BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech have same value and scope why the names are different.

Right after independence of India we have two types of universities, one that offers degrees in many fields like Sciences, Arts, Education and Engineering too, and the second set of universities (were named as institutes) offer only degrees in engineering. Universities those offer other degrees along with engineering named their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institute constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology).

Now as AICTE approve courses most of the courses are same and identical for BE and B.Tech. The universities those offering BE when started new courses named them to B.Tech too.

No degree, BE or B.Tech and ME or M.Tech is superior other others in terms of theory or experiment. BE and B.Tech or ME and M.Tech are same. Both of them are same and have similar scope and future. If there is some notification for BE, B.Tech%u2019s are also eligible to apply and vise versa.

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech? Best colleges for Mechanical and Aerospace engineering? Eligibility for IIT JEE 2012 for 2.8.1987 born?

Yes you are eligible for IIT JEE in 2012.

Difference between B.E and B.tech:

B.E is Bachelor of Engineering (known as Plain engineering) and B.tech is Bachelor of Technology(known as Bachelor's in engineering technology).

1. B.E. is knowledge oriented whereas B. Tech. is skill oriented.

2. B.E is more of theoretical based research, whereas B.tech is more of application engineering.

3. B. E. emphasize on in depth concept clarification of facts and B.tech emphasize on Practical exposure of Conceptual Knowledge.

4. In late 70s and early 80s institutes offering Engineering with other degrees, called their engineering degree B.E.
Institute offering only Engineering degrees called their degree - B.Tech.

The best colleges offering Aerospace Engineering are:

*Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai
*Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai
*Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
*Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur

The best colleges offering Mechanical Engineering are:

*Integral University
*Jodhpur National University
*University of Delhi
*Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs)
*NIT, Kurukshetra
*NIT, Patna (Bihar)
*Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani (Rajasthan)
*Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
*Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Banaras (Uttar Pradesh)

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech? Best colleges for Mechanical and Aerospace engineering? Eligibility for IIT JEE 2012 for 2.8.1987 born?

It has nothing to do with PRACTICAL an THEORY.

BE and B.Tech are same and are simply called in two names, depending upon university. Certain university gives B.Tech for their Engineering courses, and some others give BE for the same.

Long back, universities were offering BSc Engineering, and when this was upgraded to 4 year course, the naming became B.Tech for certain institutes, and became BE for courses under Universities.

Firstly I told you there is no difference between B.Tech and B.E,values are same. But different universities pays different degree.

In case of modern and up to date research facility in engineering IITs are best above all,for all engineering streams. No other option is open.

Yes you are eligible for IIT JEE.But mind it you can attained only two times. Its rule.

Re: Difference between B.E and B.Tech? Best colleges for Mechanical and Aerospace engineering? Eligibility for IIT JEE 2012 for 2.8.1987 born?

Well, there's not much difference between B.E(Bachelor of Engineering) and B.Tech(Bachelor of Technology). The only difference is that different Universities call it by different names.

The colleges which provide you modern equipments are of course IIT's and NIT's.There are many other Deemed Universities and Government Universities which provide you better equipments like J.N.T.U,AU,VIT University,SRM University,Amrutha Engineering College,Anna University..etc

Yes of course you are eligible for IIT entrance exam if you belong from the PCM stream with around 60% aggregate in the qualifying examination of the 12th board.
