Wireman and complete diploma in Electrical(distance education)From IASE University Sardarshar.I want to know that this university AICTE,UGC approved? from 2008-09 and I am servicing in Border Security force. but BSF is not conceder my diploma, his say something. 1.Whereas, on scrutiny of tentative seniority list, it was observed that many of Head Const (Tech) have obtained 3 years diploma in Civil & Electrical engineering through distance education mode. 2. Accordingly, on query, AICTE (All Indian Council for Technical Education) has informed that three years diploma through distance education mode in the field of Engineering is invalid. But The Karnataka State Open University has not got approval for offering Technical Degrees(B.Tech) from the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). So , it will be better to do the B.Tech from any other AICTE approved college/university instead of the Karnataka State Open University. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

HI friend As KSOU is an Open University, the most important recognition for this University would be DEC, however, if you want to get into a government job, it would be important to have a UGC approval, and as KSOU is approved by both UGC & DEC, in all probability you would be eligible for government jobs as well. However, the eligibility to apply for government jobs would be company specific so if a particular govt. association has some more requirements apart from this you need to fulfill those. if an Institute is approved by UGC it doesn't require AICTE approval. Hope this resolves your query. Degrees gotten frm KSOU likde BA, B.com, BCA, BSC is elgible for Govt.jobs , but its doesnt contain more value in private jobs ... KSOU was objected by DEC for running Technical courses like B.E , Diploma , etc .... But in KSOU Act 1992 , its shown dat KSOU can use any technology for education stream for students , its nw clear dat KSOU can run technical courses ...... But im nt so sure of d techinacal education running by KSOU .... hope sum guys r helped wid dis information :) Thnks :) .... !!! |

Re: Is Karnataka State Open University B.Tech degree AICTE approved? ksou is a UGC and DEC approved university for all Degrees..but they don't have any approval for technical courses like B.Tech and Diploma in Engineering.They started theirs course through study centers only..if u do any technical courses in ksou that will be in your own risk.You are not eligible for govt as well as private jobs.even MNC company's doesn't accept KSOU and RVD university degree..these courses are useless..so please don't waste your time and money for nothing..if you want a technical degree better to do AMIE from Institution of Engineers.. Institution of Mechanical Engineers,mumbai.. IETE ,ICE courses..if you want an IT or software engineering degree better to do BCA or Bsc.IT or Bsc software engineering then do MCA from any university..it is 100% valid for all types of jobs.. I have also completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from RVD university.. these universitity study centers are playing with our future by fake advertisement and counceling.. |
